The best condiment to make a proper red kibble! My spicy declaration of love for James S. A. Corey’s novel

Luxurious condiment for living in space. The spice mix you need to make a proper red kibble! A quick glance at the ingredient list reveals that even the toughest tongues get a workout here. Please use with caution and only at your own risk. I created this spice blend specifically for life in space. Whether on Ceres, Eros, Vesta, Pallas, or Tycho, the flavors are guaranteed. Belter Spice is THE spice for any authentic Red Kibble. Red Kibble isn’t Red Kibble without it, just like curry isn’t curry without curry in it.

True belters, who have to slave away in asteroid belt or space refineries, love it spicy, spicy, and spicy again. Those who spend a significant amount of time in weightlessness lose some of their sense of taste. Studies about astronaut have shown us this: The mucous membranes swell after some time in weightlessness, reducing the sense of taste. That’s why, for example, food on the International Space Station (ISS) tastes more bland than usual – as if you have a bad cold. As a result, astronauts have a preference for certain foods. The ISS menu’s top sellers are said to be salty nuts, anything spicy, such as hot chili, and very sweet cereal bars.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika powder

  • 3 tablespoons oregano

  • 1 tsp. Gochugaru (Korean chili powder)

  • 1 tsp. Pul Biber (Aleppo pepper, Turkish chili flakes)

  • 1 tbsp. mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp. cumin

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 3 chipotle chilies

Directions:

  • Put all the ingredients in powder form and oregano in a jar, roast the whole spices briefly without oil in a pan until it smells nice – don’t burn them or they will become bitter! Then grind the roasted spices. I grind the spices in an old coffee grinder that I only use for that purpose. Pour into the jar with the other spices and shake well.

Notes:

  • • As the Belters say, “Im ta nating!” – (You’re welcome)
    • By the way, Belter Spice is also a very original gift, not only for science fiction fans, in general for everyone who likes to eat HOT!
    • Belter Spice is THE spice for any real Red Kibble. 🧑🚀🎉❤️
